Pattern D — Single Object Flight Pattern
Drone capture geometry for a small subject — sculpture, vehicle, or individual tree. Hemispherical dome of viewpoints. For the Omniris 3D Splatting Pipeline.

Pattern D side elevation and plan view
Side elevation showing three orbit altitudes around a small subject at gimbal pitches of negative 15, 45, and 75 degrees, distributed across a hemispherical dome of viewpoints. Plan view shows three concentric horizontal radii, with the lowest-pitch ring farthest from the subject.

Ring 1 (r ≈ R · cos 15°)
Ring 2 (r ≈ R · cos 45°)
Ring 3 (r ≈ R · cos 75°)
All drones lie on a sphere of radius R centered on the subject.

Ring 2 −45° pitch
Ring 3 −75° pitch
R = orbit radius (sphere radius around subject). Every drone in this pattern sits on a hemisphere of radius R; the three rings differ only in elevation angle. Drone spacing along each ring should match the per-ring count needed to give 5–10° angular spacing — denser on the outer ring because circumference is larger.
